Welcome to the First Church of the Open Bible!  In a world that seemed to be increasingly “out of whack”, the purpose of the First Church of the Open Bible is to bring lives into balance through knowing Christ, growing in Christ, and showing Christ to the world around us. There is nothing that gives us greater joy than to see someone’s life come into focus as they grow in their relationship with the Lord.
 
We want you to know that wherever you are on your spiritual journey, whether you're just beginning to investigate Christianity or you already have a mature relationship with Jesus, we're here to help you take the next step spiritually and to offer you a place where you can be as involved as you choose.

 

One of the first things that you’ll notice when you visit our church is the wide range of ages and backgrounds that comprise our church family. What that means is that you and your friends and family will feel right at home - whether you’re a student, a parent, a single adult, or a senior citizen. Our goal is to offer something for the entire family.

 

Our Sunday morning services are a celebration of the goodness of the Lord. Both are 90 minutes in length, with lively music, inspirational testimonies, and a thought-provoking message from the Bible.

 

Beyond our Sunday morning services, you’ll find that we have many small groups where you can “plug-in” and develop authentic and enduring relationships with others. You’ll find everything from Life Groups, to a women’s craft group, to a weight-lifting group, to an addiction recovery group … and the list goes on and on. New groups are forming all the time.

 

Together, we’re striving to become the kind of church described in the Bible – a church with relevant teaching, heart-felt worship, honest friendships, constant prayer, and compassionate care for those in need. We want to be the kind of church where people in our community can see the love and power of Jesus Christ at work in real lives, on a day-to-day basis.

 

So whether you’ve never really gone to church before, or a committed Christian who is looking for a church home, you will find a warm welcome at the First Church of the Open Bible.
